The basics:
Having spent his early youth writing, singing and playing in a number of indie slacker rock bands, Swedish Jacques C quit music to work in the center of the European bureaucracy in Brussels, Belgium. Nearby and at the time, the French electronic musical revolution was taking place. Being blown away by this musical wave, Jack realized that his 9-5 job was making him dull. Returning to Sweden, he got into it, changed his name (then some unpronounceable Swedish name) into the less ”difficile” name Jacques. Starting to figure out how to make his rock songs rock and dance, Jacques released a few singles on mailorder label Delicious Goldfish Records in Sweden. Some time later Jacques made his debut in the major league on Danish label Big Star Records. Most of Jacques’ back catalogue is available on iTunes, Beatport and JunoDownload. Now the debut album Noir is here, distributed in Scandinavia by Border, in Europe by Le Son Du Maquis.
