A TREASURE TROVE OF UNDERGROUND ELECTRONIC MUSIC

Robert Steenkamer

Known aliases: Organachrome, Rob Nice
Last known whereabouts: Toronto, Canada
Web presence: daytimelovers.blogspot.com/

The basics:
Paralyzed by the vastness of the spectrum of sound, rhythm and style, he shuts himself off from the rest of the world in an attempt to understand. Listening until his ears burn and his eyes are heavy with sleep, he drifts to where it all becomes cohesive; electric and acoustic, machine and man. The vision ferments, internalized without the means to materialize for many seasons. As the cycles pass the vision starts to fade, the fertility of excitement gives way to the stagnation of circumstance. Then, as the final seed begins to rot, a force of untold magnitude splits open his body, spilling viscera onto the ground. In the warmth and light it had never seen before, the seed starts to germinate and burrows a root into the ground freshly fertilized with the compost of man.

Past action:
Boogiewall Soundsystem – My Promise (Rob Nice Remix) – Play Records
Organachrome – Don’t Say Drums Are Not Words – PSR
Eddie C – Once & Again (Organachrome Remix) – PSR (forthcoming)
Cravo e Canela – Lamentment (Organachrome Remix) – Trigger (forthcoming)

Style: Perhaps best described as Indie Disco, Deep House, Dub, Rock and Electronica. But perhaps not.
