The basics:
With a career spanning over almost decades Andy Roberts ranks right up there as one of the best Producers and DJ’s in the business, let alone in our own little city of Toronto. His deep, soulful, sexy grooves began in 1991 where Andy developed a huge following. His laid back style is anything but on his tracks, although his ease of character can be felt in the seamless mixes he offers behind the tables some 18 years later. After many years of mixing, promoting and producing Andy achieved international fame with “Big Daddy Vibes” and “Sunny Muzik” and further cemented his place among the greats when he produced “Rhodes Scholar”, “Mixed Signals” and “Black Belt Roberts” EPs on Dino & Terry’s Crash and Vinylpeace imprints. He also linked up with the Stickmen to release one of his best selling records, “Mr. Roberts Neighborhood”, on their highly successful Aquarius label which received regular airplay on BBC’s Radio 1. By this time Andy was recognized as one of Canada’s top house DJs and producers. Andy continued to build his craftsmanship in producing which lead to a big career move in the new millennium.
Recognizing a lifelong dream Andy’s launched his Label: Mixed Signals Music in 2004 which has grown into a full service shop offering production, label management, event booking, promotion and event promotion in addition to operating as a booking agency. MSM has become the home for many talented producers, writers, D.J.s, singers, groups and industry professionals seeking to stay true to their own internal beat in the world. As evidence to his international presence his music has been licensed to labels in America, England, Switzerland, Scotland, Germany, South Africa and Italy. You can certainly say the future looks bright for Andy and even brighter for this emerging powerhouse label Mixed Signals Music.
