Summary: Noir is a dark take on life that digs deep into the human psyche, and fuses the best elements of rock, electro, funk and pop with chunky house vibes. Despite having released several successful singles in the past, Jacques hasn’t included many of them – in an effort to make Noir a cohesive album, rather than a collection of his hits. Each track brings its own flavour of noir (dark), to flow as a near perfect album. Jacques blends the sounds of his younger days, when inspired by post punk/dark wave artists like Joy Division and The Cure, with later inspirations from the French electro scene (Daft Punk, Vitalic, Colder), in his traditional song-writing to make up-to-date electro/house/pop.
